Before Cream Eric Clapton was in bands like the Yardbirds and John Mayall and the Blues Breakers, which did some decent music. It was Cream however that really established Clapton as the guitar god. Disreali Gears is generally considered Cream's best album. Included are their big hits "Sunshine of Your Love" and "Strange Brew" and the psychadelic classic "SWLABR" (She walks like a bearded rainbow) umm yea. This is a must have for any Clapton fan.
