We tried this fan out and it didn't cool the PS3 very well, then quit working after a couple of hours. Wouldn't recommend.

Unfortunately, this cooling fan is not appropriate for the new slim PS3. However, we gave it away as a gift and it seems to be working fine.

I received this product from a friend several days ago. I've used it for about a day now and there's no noticeable change to my PS3's performance. I've tested it with several PS3's with similar results - no changes whatsoever. In fact, using this fan as shown in the picture may even interfere with the PS3's own internal cooling mechanisms. The fact is, the PS3 is designed to dissipate any harmful heat (provided that the console is situated as described in the manufacturer's manual), and no attachments on the market can improve its performance for the better. Of all the accessories that claim to cool the PS3, this is probably the most ineffective, and will simply waste one of the PS3's USB ports. Not a good buy.

This is a great cooling fan for playstation 3, my husban love's it, and his friend came over and he see the cooling fan for playstation he love's it too and he want to buy it for his playstation to his home... thank you overstock.com i would recommend this to others... its PRICELESS!!!
