Some delicious recipes but not all are that healthy. Coconut milk while Vegan according to Michael Gregor Md, a nutritionist vegan Md says this is quite unhealthy. Recipes include white flour.. If you want tasty inventive recipes this is your book. If you want truly healthy vegan recipes I would look for recommendations from vegan MDs s such as neal bernard or, Michael Gregor

I bought six copies of this book for myself and for Christmas gifts. First of all, there is a soup recipe for each day of the year, delightfully arranged by months. Everyone first looked at the recipe for their birthday and for their family's. Recipes in each of the seasons focus on fresh ingredients from that particular time of the year. The other thing I love about the book is the index. There are two; Soups by Ingredients in which all the soups that contain asparagus, chicken, quinoa, shrimp, beets, kale, etc, for example, are listed together. The other listing is Soups by Type. Here soups that are vegetarian, fruit based, chilled, pureed, chowders, etc. are listed together, making it a joy to find just what you're looking for. The book is printed on heavy paper and is made to sustain many years of use. The soups are very creative and unusual. I cannot recommend this cookbook from Williams Sonoma highly enough. Now that the holidays are over and winter is upon us I'm look...

  • Not As Easy As I'd Like

The recipes are a bit complicated for a book about making scaled down desserts. Although I recognize that baking can be complex, that level of complexity for two seems inordinate. However, there are interesting baked goods to try but I'm not sure how useful it is as a cookbook. Because I am not inclined to make these recipes due to their complexity for two, the cookbook becomes less useful. The downsized baked good versions from ATK's cookbook prompted me to search for other downsized recipes. In addition, there are no pictures of any of the baked goods except for illustration that are decorative rather than informative. If you're an avid baker who enjoys more complex recipes, the recipes are well proportioned for downsized baking instead of just dividing a normal recipes by half, thirds or quarters.
