Overall, a great book, complete with a built in book mark to help you keep the page. Everything is case fresh and looked as good if not better than what I would find in the store. Cheapest found on the internet!

If you're a Batman fan then avoid anything Kevin Smith has to do with Batman (2 titles that I know of) like the plague. He lacks even a remedial understanding of the character and what drives him. He uses the platform to stroke his own ego with obscure comments and references to let you know how "knowledgeable" he is about the genre. In addition, the artwork, produced by his friend that he's throwing a bone to, is sloppy bordering on childish.

  • Great Art, but Story Fizzles

    Feb 24, 2012

    meredeth  from Columbus, OH, Rating:3.0

product was just as described and pictured on the site. as for the book itself, i will say the artwork is amazing, and the story presents some great ideas focused around some intriguing characters. unfortunately, the story fizzles out in the last quarter. this is the collected four volumes of Pax Romana, and it feels like someone ran out of time or money or something and had to hurry up and end the story. there are some great timelines and charts and text boxes throughout, and the art is bold and different, certianly from your standard comic/graphic novel form, but unfortunatley, the story just couldn't be sustained for whatever reason.

I bought this for a 6th grade student who is not motivated to read, and she read it in one day. She absolutely loved the book!
