I remember when this movie came out in the theatre. I thought it was the greatest movie ever -- right up there with Star Wars and Dragonslayer. It is a good story, although I admit that that special effects are cheesy, but for the 80s you cannot expect more. This is a classic, along with Fantastic Voyage, Barbarella, and any of the old Star Trek flicks. Star Wars got revamped and rereleased to this generation, these are collecting dust but descent.

I saw this at a drive in with my family when I a about 14 many moons ago lol but this was and always has been one of my favorite scifi movies so happy to have it to watch it as much as I like

Definitely a classic one to own. Hadn't seen in years and wanted to add to the collection and eventually for my kids. Makes you laugh at the special effects compared to today, but also realize how far along it was during its time. Great one to own....
