  This is a highly recommended book on how to pray big and think long on your prayers. It changed my life and it will change yours. I am recommending this title to everyone I know. If you don't go to church you need this book and if you do you really need this book. Pastor Mark is wonderful.

  I was rather impressed with how fast I received this bible. I tried ordering from other cites for weeks before overstock.com. overstock was the first one to actually ship it out within the first 2 weeks of purchase. It took less than a business day to ship. The bible itself is the amplified and the notes from joyce meyer are awesome! I totally recommend this bible for people who struggle with controlling their thoughts and emotions. Joyce Meyer does an amazing job at cross referencing bible verses and biblical principles, and doing so in a very kind, considerable, and humbling manner. It's not "IN YOUR FACE" like other bible commentaries.

  "The Truth About Forgiveness" by John MacArthur is another book in "The Truth About" trilogy. In this book, the focus is forgiveness, both our need to receive it and to give it. He opens the book with a look at our utter sinfulness and need for a Savior. By starting with a portrait of humanity's total depravity, he sets the stage for the rest of the book: "It is the good news that man's sin can be forgiven, guilt can be removed, life can have meaning, and a hopeful future can be a reality" (p. 16). MacArthur then goes on to show that forgiveness comes from God alone through Jesus Christ and the extent to which we are forgiven. It is a beautiful picture of the love of God toward His people. He brilliantly weaves together our sinfulness, our need for forgiveness, and the grace and love of God poured out on humanity through Jesus Christ.   I have always liked the Life Application Bible. However, when I ordered the handy size Life Application Bible, I didn't realize that it came in paper back. If I had known any better, I would have gotten a copy of it in hard-bound. Overall, this bible is an excellent book to read!

  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? Fairly accurate.
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. I do not like paperback books too well. I would much rather have them hard bound.
