Favorite album of the year
from Taunton, MA,  Sep 10, 2007

Carry On is an amazing and diverse album. It has a great mix of tunes which really showcase Cornell's ability to go back and forth between genres. I love the diversity and the fact that he's still evolving. His voice is amazing, as always. For me, there's no one else who comes close as a vocalist and songwriter. Some of my favorite tracks include Disappearing Act, Ghosts, Scar on the Sky, Poison Eye, No Such Thing and You Know My Name, to name a few. I really love this album!

Love It!
from Sioux Falls, SD,  Aug 12, 2007

I really like his solo work more than his work with Audioslave. Don't get me wrong, those albums were good but I thoght "Revelations" was lacking something. The cover of "Billie Jean" is awesome! Never thought I would like a song originally recorded by Michael Jackson.

A Must Have For Cornell Fans!
from Union, KY,  Aug 6, 2007

This CD is a must have for Cornell fans. I feel it really shows his maturity, versatility and ability to take listeners down a new path, while maintaining the constant of ¿the voice¿ we know and love. It is not hard to see (or hear) why Chris Cornell has been a highly successful musician for over 20 years. That kind of staying power does not happen without taking risks and reaching outside a certain comfort zone. On Carry On, I especially enjoy Ghosts, Disappearing Act and Arms Around Your Love.

Carry On
from Aurora, IL,  Jul 6, 2007

I truly enjoy listening to Chris Cornell's new album. I do admit it took some time getting use to it but once I got past that point there was no turning back. My favorites so far: "Safe and Sound", "Disappearing Act", "Poison Eye", "Scar upon the Sky", "Killing Birds", "Your Soul Today" and bonus track "Today". The mood and atmosphere is very light and happy. This reflects his current state of mind and lifestyle. It's a joy to see. Some songs make me get up and groove. lol Who would've thought. I have been fortunate to have seen him a couple times in concert this year. I do admit I like the live acoustic version of "Scar upon the Sky". Maybe because I do like it when Chris keeps the songs simple and let's his voice shine through. His voice is very beautiful. Seasons is one of my favorite songs. It's just him and his guitar singing his heart out. What more can you ask for? I recommend the album and seeing him perform his classics and new songs live in concert.

Great album!
from Baltimore, MD,  Jul 5, 2007

I love this album! It keeps getting better the more I listen to it and is on its way to being one of my favorites. Although this album is different than some of the things he's done in the past, it shows his growth and maturity as an artist. The songs are all so different and offer something for everyone. His powerful vocals and creative lyrics would make any album a hit. I would definitely recommend it!

Most Eclectic Cd of the year!
Anonymous  from illinois,  Jun 27, 2007

Although this album is not as hard rockin as people expected , its an awesome ride.Dont get me wrong , there are some rockin songs, "No Such Thing" & "You Know My Name", but right when you think you have this cd pegged, it hits you in the face with something new. It starts off stomping then moves into soft bluesy toe tappin then right back to rockin your face. Chris Cornell is a genius..His creativity blows me away..You must get this cd!

Another great album by Chris Cornell
from Berwyn, IL,  Jun 26, 2007

I really enjoy the diversity of Chris Cornell new solo album Carry On. He has taken some risks in his new album that show off his creativity and personal/musical growth. The lyrics and music on this album are more mellow than his early Soundgarden days but are just as enjoyable depending on the kind of mood you are in. I would recommend this album.
