sloowhaands from Vancouver, BC Canada, Rating:4.0If you are studying Mandarin, this is a great way to increase your vocabulary! The box is small enough that you can keep it handy and when you have an opportunity you can grab a batch of cards and run through them repeatedly for retention.

frankcomments from San Francisco, CA., Rating:5.0Currently, I am a 3rd year student of Chinese Studies at a local college. I have found ‘Chinese Demystified’ to be a valuable publication. This book clears up some misunderstanding of grammar, word usage and meaning that students often encounter. The grammar examples in the book clear-up difficult concepts because the concepts are presented clearly. The text utilizes pinyin, traditional and also simplified characters. The author of this publication has written other books on Chinese, but this one is quickly becoming my favorite reference. This volume of 427 pages and 21 chapters is a valuable reference. If you are a student of Chinese Language, I suggest you consider using this publication.

afotoguy from Orlando, FL, Rating:1.0I found this book very difficult to use and follow. Chapters jump you all over the place and a poor index reference. The information is accurate; but confusing.

frankcomments from San Mateo, CA., Rating:5.0This book is a very good value for a student on a budget. This book effectively informs the reader how to write 800 simplified characters. Most importantly, the book focuses on how to memorize the simplified character with stroke order method. In addition each character has a one paragraph story which serves as a tool to memorize the character.
