    E. Nesbit is my favorite children's author, and I was delighted to see this book in print. She is not well-known in America (she was a contemporary and friend of GB Shaw), but her influence is broader than her fame. CS Lewis, Edgar Eager, and possibly JK Rowling have all been in her tradition. Nesbit wrote of late-Victorian children, and she shattered the moralistic tale and introduced humor, psychological realism, and magic to her readers. This book is her spookiest and most enchanting. (Modern adult fantasists also give her much credit.)

Arrived a day early. Was very pleased to find Overstock had Mad Libs in the first place as I haven't played them in a long time. Def a throwback to my school days. Good deal 5 books for the price of what would be 1. Can't beat that.
