This has always been one of my all-time favorites! I remember the first time I saw it as a child. I am so glad that I can get it for my grandkids to enjoy--as their mother has enjoyed it before them. It is SO VERY MUCH better than the modern version: It is based upon the actual lives of a wonderful family. The father was a famous engineer, and the mother (after the time covered in this story) went on to be an important female engineer--having designed efficient kitchens and more. There is a "second chapter" movie called, "Bells on Her Toes." I wish it was for sale here, too!
