  • a fantastic tale of adventure

This is a great read, fun for kids and adults. I was surprised I hadn't come across it before since it's an old book and written with the same kind of quality as Around the World in 80 days. It's set in the California Gold Rush days, and is full of surprise turns and clever ingenuity.
