This book is a life-changing book! It answered all the confusing questions about God and what He wants and expects from his children. When I finished this book I realized for the first time just how simple it all is. I want everyone I love, care about and even know to read this book. William Young found a way to explain life¿s most challenging questions. He showed in this book, The Shack that God doesn¿t want our relationship with him to be hard or confusing. If you take the time to read this book you will be changed! You will see how simple, a life that includes a relationship with God, is really meant to be.

Richard Paul Evens is a gifted writer. His Christmas Box started a yearly book in the holiday spirit. This work is very different then all other books by this author. It tells the story in so much detail that as you read, you feel like you are a part of the story. I eagerly await the next book in the series, Michael Vey...Rise of the Elgen. IIf you like suspense, you will love this book. I higly recommend it.

"Chasing the Sun" by Tracie Peterson is her first in the "Land of the Lonestar" series. Set in Civil War-era Texas, the story focuses on a young woman named Hannah Dandridge. Her widowed father's disappearance leaves her young siblings in her care along with a ranch to run. William Barnett is a soldier returning after being wounded to reclaim his ranch which had been seized due to his family's loyalties in the war. Her father's law partner, Herbert Lockhart, adds intriguing complications to the story. Overall, the characters are likeable and flushed out. Hannah's strong will and determination made her a compelling character. The compassion that she sought to demonstrate was remarkable as well. In some instances, it really took a bit of courage but the payoffs were well worth it. The story flowed well and the plot had enough twists and turns to keep it engaging. Themes of forgiveness, redemption, compassion, and love run strong in this novel. As a big fan of Peterson's work, I was excited to pick up this book and it did not disappoint. I felt it was significantly better that her previous couple of series. I'm definitely looking forward to the next two installments of this Texas trilogy! (Ive received this complimentary book from Bethany House Publishers through the Book Blogger program in exchange for a review. A positive review was not required and the views expressed in my review are strictly my own.)

The book is wonderful as all of Richard Paul Evans books are. Was very disappointed in Overstock shipping. Book was released on September 17, but was not received until the 19th. Will not pre-order from Overstock in the future.

As a little girl, who loved all things girly, Cinderella was my favorite fairy tale. In fact, I had the entire book memorized before I even started school. So when I had the chance to read If the Shoe Fits, a contemporary fairy tale (minus the fairy and magic part) by Sandra Bricker, I was excited to preview the book. Julianne is a successful young lawyer who has just opened her own firm with her best friend Will. While things are going well professionally, Julianne has yet to find her Prince Charming, whom she is desperately seeking. The story opens with Julianne narrowly escaping an auto accident, but witnessing an amazing and handsome man rescue a dog. Wow. Amazing, handsome, AND he loves animals?? How can this man not be her perfect match? As fate would have it, he leaves his toolbox and a boot (nod to Cinderella) at the scene of the accident. Julianne places an ad in hopes that the handsome owner will claim his belongings and that she can claim his heart in the process. As time goes on, Julianne does indeed get to meet this Prince Charming, Paul, who is a carpenter. However, her plans to not go as she intended. Indeed, it seems that they have less and less in common as they get to know each other. All the while, Julianne's best friend Will is in love with her, and everyone seems to know except Julianne. His former fiance even looked like Julianne! Every time Will decides to declare his feelings for Julianne, she makes a comment or makes a decision that leaves Will feeling like she will never want anything more from him than friendship. Throw in a sweet girl next door, Allison, who has been set up with Will by her sister as well as Julianne's arch enemy Lacey, who also has her eye on Will, we have an interesting love triangle going! As Julianne and Will dance around their feelings for each other while dating other people, we are left to wonder if Julianne will ever realize that Will is the Prince Charming that has been waiting for her all along. This book was so fun to read! In fact, I read it in one day. The characters were fun and interesting. While this book does not have what I would call "suspense," there are some interesting plot twists that I didn't see coming. I enjoyed this book so much and am excited for the next book in the series

This book gave me a whole new outlook on death. What God wants us to do and how we can best do His will. And, that tragedy strikes many people in this life but that the next life is far better. And how we must forgive to be forgiven. A must read for anyone who has lost a loved one. Thank you William Young.

Frog Girl is cautionary tale of a NW Native - a young girl who saves her village from the destruction of a volcano - by returning captured frogs to their homes. It is partly a tale of compassion and kindness, partly a mythic introduction... It is utterly lavishly and wonderfully illustrated in the rich dark colors of the Pacific Northwest. Rather than an exact retelling of a specific Native Northwest story, it includes elements of many stories; and it is even further accessible in that it has a detailed index at the back for further study (by older readers). Parents have commented to me that their children seem very engaged in Frog Girl and Storm Boy (also by Paul Owen Lewis) and ask numerous questions, and want to hear the stories over & over again. This is out of print in hardback, but this is paperback is about the same size and inexpensive. You won't be sorry! Worth is for the illustrations alone.
