Excellent book. There were facts and details I never expected and it was not difficult reading. Can't wait for more of Mr. O'Reilly's" Killing" books. I own them all and all are page turners.

I usually buys books used and deeply discounted, but I have to say this was attractively priced and nice and big for the price. I got the paperback version, it is over 11" wide and about 9 inches tall, drawings are detailed and take up the entire height and width of both pages opened up giving an almost 2 foot wide panaroma drawing. There are is a vivid pop of color on some pages against muted backtones, but over half of the pages are full color. There are just over a dozen or so pages to the entire book. Writing is medium sized, and not a whole lot of words to this story, mostly just pictures. I added in lots of my own words while reading this to my little one just to take longer on the big colorful pages. I didn't want the story to end. It is about a dog that takes a walk out of it's city apartment into the country to find relief from boredom. Just a real nice book. I highly recommend.

I wish there weren't as many pictures as I don't want them to guess based on the pic, I want them to read. Also the words are meant to be traced. If you have a child with bad penmanship it might be hard for them to read the words after
