As a "Soccer-Mom" to my children when they were young, I am now a Soccer-Granny. Upon receiving this age-appropriate gift, the grands read it, related to it, and often took the book to school to read. This Soccer-Granny recommends this book as a gift or just-because.

  • Not As Easy As I'd Like

The recipes are a bit complicated for a book about making scaled down desserts. Although I recognize that baking can be complex, that level of complexity for two seems inordinate. However, there are interesting baked goods to try but I'm not sure how useful it is as a cookbook. Because I am not inclined to make these recipes due to their complexity for two, the cookbook becomes less useful. The downsized baked good versions from ATK's cookbook prompted me to search for other downsized recipes. In addition, there are no pictures of any of the baked goods except for illustration that are decorative rather than informative. If you're an avid baker who enjoys more complex recipes, the recipes are well proportioned for downsized baking instead of just dividing a normal recipes by half, thirds or quarters.

  • Knockoff Book(not original)

Book does not look legit nor original. Pages seem to be cut by bare hands instead of a guillotine to have a smooth even cut. Pages are eaten up on the edges. seems like a child build this book with no tools. I was going to return for a full refund, but they will deduct $*.** out of the total amount I paid for the book. I would think that they would pay for return shipping since it is a defective and horrible looking book. Never buying from this site ever. I will be going to*** for now on. Very disapointed

To buildup the Grand's Library, I bought all 7 of the EllRay Jakes books. School is such a challenging week; therefore an hour reading time is required during the weekends. I got an opportunity to quickly review these books during my visit. I found them to be age-appropriate for elementary school children and maybe a few secondary/intermediate graders. I recommend these books as gifts or just-because.

Great book if you have lower back pain. I herniated my lumbar disc a few weeks ago and I'm finding this book very useful. There's a few insights in there that really made it worth the money. e.g., the author says that in order to have good posture, you must relax into it rather than try to hold "good" posture like a ramrod. Good graded exercises although I would suggest that you run this book by your doctor before starting on it.
