This was the first book of Greg Iles I had read and you can bet I'll be reading more of his books. I took this book with me to Europe and got addicted to it on the plane ride over. It is so masterfully written, with a complex plot that keeps you engrossed. Here I am in Italy for the first time and I can't stop thinking about the book and when I can read again. Finally finished it during poratic reading bursts. Love it, loved it!

I'm a Greg Illes fan because of his excellent story telling, but also as a native Mississippian I can relate and appreciate his realistic relationships and the geographic detail. It takes me home again! "Spandau Phoenix" seems to be one of his earlier books and a far cry from what I expected, but what a page-turner. Wow! Illes is an excellent writer and story-teller.

I got this book for my daughter, she loves Greg on the Five!!! (and Red Eye). I read some, He is a witty and strong writer. He cuts straight to issues of today. Liberterain in general but fiscal conservative as well.

I purchased this book for my 10.5 year old daughter who absolutely loves the Greg Kinney books. She read it cover-to-cover in about a day, and she is not a diligent reader by any means. I find Mr. Kinney's books humorous myself - I love his satirical take on things. Great book for kids who don't really like to read - at least it gets them exposed to reading!

I cannot tell you how much I admire Greg Mortenson for what he has chosen to do as his life's work. This book is so beautifully written by himself and David Relin that I felt that I was there too. I loved the pictures included in the book of the wonderful and interesting people who he met during his journeys to Pakistan and Afghanistan. It was so nice to see the faces of the people who became so special to him. I know how much they must have loved, trusted and admired him for what he was trying to do to improve their lives. I found the political aspect of the book very educational and enlightening as well. I was sorry for the book to end. I will remember it for a long time. My only regret is that I do not have a million dollars to contribute to the CAI------for, alas, I am poor.

I loved this book! I would give it 10 stars if I could! I really connected to Elizabeth's story and the growth she experiences on her journey. I also highly recommend Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson - read both books!!

I bought the series for my grandson, yet from the moment I previewed a few pages, I was hooked! I couldn't help laughing out loud. Jeff Kenny certainly captures the innocence and essence of Greg's childhood situations. Because of the way it's written, you can read one page or "days" of entries and not miss a beat. We spent hours laughing trying to come up with a funnier name for Rodrick’s band name, but we couldn’t. Too funny! You’ll have to read it to find out. I can't wait to have my grandson complete his own diary, I mean journal, the Do-It-Yourself book, because it will be a keeper.

I actually purchased two of Greg Gutfeld's books for an avid book lover (and someone who is a fan of Greg Gutfeld), this book and "How to Be Right:..." Since they are Christmas gifts and they are not gifts for me, I can only say that I'm confident the recipient will love these. I hope that is an acceptable review!
