I gave this as a gift to a private pilot who is a real aviation nut! He loved it! I highly recommend this paperback book to anyone interested in planes, aviation or just flying in general.

I have used other manuals for the VTX, but they were confusing . This has so many more pictures and they are clear. You do have to know the official terms rather than common terms to search for the fix. For instance, I couldn't find air/fuel adjustment. So I went online and found that it was also call pilot screw. Then I was able to find what I needed and it was very clear.

This is one of the best book concerning the UFO phenomenon you will read. It is well thought out, logical and intelligently presented. It is beautifully lad out design wise, and ideal wise. The author's premise is that the UFO phenomenon is real and the governmrnt has been hiding the truth for over 60 years. The author states that the government though they pretended to created organizations to investigate UFO's like Project Blue Book, Project Grudge, project Sign, et al, they were indeed just setting up minitries of misinformation that worked with vocal skeptics to convince John Q Public that UFO's don't exist. The gov't claims that the UFO phenomenon started in 1947, which the author points out in two chapter to be false using incredible sightings from prehsitory - 1946. The gov't also claims that UFO are usually misidentifications made by untrained observers or stories created to try to gain a kook some fame or fortune. The author dismantles this claim in 8 chapters using well over 300 sightings by engineers, astronomers, scientist, miilitary/civialn pilots, militart/law enforcement personnel, religous leader, business leaders, governors, senators, members of the House of Rep's, even 2 presidnets amd many other uopstanding citizens the world over from prehistory to 2011. What is most impressive is the attention to detail the author maintains throughout the book. All sightings presented are of crafts that our under intelligent control and in no way could be mistaken for natural phenomenon or everyday objects. Also includes are the names and occupations of the reporter and the day, date, time and location of the sightings. Author brings out many intersting premises about why the government needs secerecy, why they created actual regulations on how to deal with UFO's - objects they say don't exist, and an enlightening commentary about how the skeptics/debunkers are doing just what they claim the people who report UFO try to do , namely, gain fame and fortune from the UFO phenomenon. Bthe book is very well wrtitten and will keep you interested from begining to end. I have read over 300 UFO books, and I can honestrly say that if you like the workks by frank Edwards, ralp Blum, or Jacques vallee', you will love this bok! Congratulation on a job well done

This is a great book to help you learn to fly as a real world pilot does and helps you understand the mechanics of flying.

I purchased this as a gag gift for my husband-the who fan in my house. We own a blue CRV that well call the big blue box. K-9 is now the co-pilot of said box. The product was both well descried and true to it's functions. Though, a little smaller than I had thought It sits on the dash and with a press of it voice button, My husband and his new companion are off!

Outliers can be enjoyed for its bits of trivia, like why most pro hockey players were born in January, how many hours of practice it takes to master a skill, why the descendents of Jewish immigrant garment workers became the most powerful lawyers in New York, how a pilots' culture impacts their crash record, how a centuries-old culture of rice farming helps Asian kids master math. But there's more to it than that. Throughout all of these examples--and in more that delve into the social benefits of lighter skin color, and the reasons for school achievement gaps--Gladwell invites conversations about the complex ways privilege manifests in our culture. He leaves us pondering the gifts of our own history, and how the world could benefit if more of our kids were granted the opportunities to fulfill their remarkable potential.

I am currently reading this book. I am a lover of all historical books about our country, especially works that have first hand accounts. I find this book to be loaded with interesting facts and really like the fact that it covers the events on both sides of the conflict. This book covers the Battle of the Phillipine Sea, or "the Turkey Shoot" and is one of a very few books to do so. As it happens, my father, LCDR Ronald W. Hoel, was a Hellcat pilot who flew off the deck of the USS Bunker Hill and is mentioned in this book as part of the action. So this is a special interest to me as it is the only book that I know of that has done that. I have also been able to get the cruise book for the Bunker Hill just recently that also covers this point in history from the ship's perspective.

The author has done an excellent job of taking the reader on deck of the USS Forrestal off the coast of Vietnam in 1967. In this election year, the name of John McCain is on many lips. How poignant it is that the missile that accidentally fired from a plane on the flight deck of the Forrestal that July morning should strike the plane of Navy pilot John McCain as he awaited his turn to be catapulted from the ship. John McCain showed his courage that morning as he braved the flames to escape. Over 130 men died as a result of the fire on the Forrestal, including a young man close to my own family. The courage of those who fought the fire that day should not be forgotten.
