Good value, just wanted to have the language in my head so I could be polite for the small things. I wasn't trying to become proficient.

This is an entertaining book, my kids requested often telling the story about the determination to do what's right, and run into moments of confusion and still choosing to do the right thing.

I really like the large scale on this atlas. I need glasses to see and the larger scale is very helpful. I'm planning an old school road trip like I used to take with my parents and I want to do it without an electronic GPS and see where I end up. Rand McNally is the brand of atlas my Dad always trusted, and I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

The recipes are a bit complicated for a book about making scaled down desserts. Although I recognize that baking can be complex, that level of complexity for two seems inordinate. However, there are interesting baked goods to try but I'm not sure how useful it is as a cookbook. Because I am not inclined to make these recipes due to their complexity for two, the cookbook becomes less useful. The downsized baked good versions from ATK's cookbook prompted me to search for other downsized recipes. In addition, there are no pictures of any of the baked goods except for illustration that are decorative rather than informative. If you're an avid baker who enjoys more complex recipes, the recipes are well proportioned for downsized baking instead of just dividing a normal recipes by half, thirds or quarters.
