Be careful. Read pattern through first and check fabric requirements before buying fabric. The amounts shown as required were off quite a bit in the pattern I used and another I plan on doing. It has some great patterns but just be careful about checking amounts first.

  • DK Eyewitness Cowboy

    Dec 12, 2014

    Western Fan  from Tennessee, Rating:4.0

As an adult I am always interested in the history and culture of the American West. The American cowboy had traditionally served as the centerpiece on this subject; be it myth or legend. The DK Cowboy book is very informative, educational and entertaining (as all DK Eyewitness books). This covers everything from the types of saddle to the Hollywood stereotype. Of course their are many pictures and illustrations. One interesting fact is that the cowboy is not an American invention as European, Asian and Latin American cultures have their own traditions of cowboy that dates back centuries. My reason for purchasing this book is for a reference for sketching Western scenes and subjects. Looking through this book; one may learn that that the cowboy was not a reckless drunk who shot his adversaries in the street, but a hard working individual, a team player and an American icon worthy of this title.

  • How can you not love Calvin & Hobbes

    Dec 9, 2014

    aharris1024  from Arkansas, Rating:5.0

I love Bill Watterson and his whole Calvin & Hobbes collection. "Scientific Progress Goes "Boink": A Calvin and Hobbes Collection" will be my 9 year old son's first copy of a comic strip he has already grown to love. I'm excited to share the fun and memorable characters with him.
