This is an intense, thorough, masterfully done book about God's Chosen people. Very indepth. Have a dictionary by your side when reading! Everything you wanted to know about Jews. Johnson is a master historian. The book flows well. Johnson leaves NO stone unturned. Very resourceful! I need not look further for answers. His footnotes direct me to the correct sources for more information. I truly enjoyed reading. it While I couldn't read this intense book in one day, I found it quite difficylt to put the book down!

Paul Johnson clearly did his research before writing this accurate and precise novel on American History. He has sources to back up everything he is saying and even mentions the little details not normally covered in a History Class. He is amazing at transporting you to the time period you are reading about and you can really understand what the everyday struggles were of the colonists in creating this great and complex nation we know of today. This is a perfect book for anyone who is interested in American history and the people in it and is a real page-turner.

Betrayal is the second book in the Where the Heart Lives trilogy about the Brennan siblings. I really liked reading Hugh's story. Ms. Hatcher did a great job with the characters of Hugh a Julia. I loved the way Hugh and Julia each had to overcome their sense of unworthiness to be able to accept love. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it.

The Gun Seller is a brilliant combination of James Bond and sarcasm. Hugh Laurie obviously put a lot of time into research and development of his characters. One of my favorite books of all time! I highly reccommend it to anyone who like to read anything at all.

Reading this memoir of a Zen gardener was a gentle and relaxing experience. Each time I unwound with Wendy Johnson, I was led back to my garden's gate with renewed energy. Lovely illustrations.

The music from this movie is incredible. Close to the heart and makes you feel the emotions of these characters. Again, Hugh Jackman is awesome in any thing he does.

It's in full color, which surprised me. As for the content... well, it's Jeff Smith at his best once again, but also featuring the writing chops of Tom Sniegowski. The monkey is kind of annoying, but it's all good. Big Johnson Bone is awesome! Plus, you get to learn the origin of the mythical Jekk, which comes in the night and drags the rat creatures away by the tails!

Olympic Gold Medalist Shawn Johnson shares a piece of her life and experience in a very personable and encouraging way. She talks in detail about gymnastics, but also her crushes on boys, her self image and weight pressures, her time on Dancing with the Stars, her scary stalker, and the injury that nearly cost her her career. She shares many personal stories, thoughts, and poetry. This is really an inside scoop into her life, and I have to say: she has a winning personality. I love Shawn's honesty, vulnerability, and the cheerfulness of her writing. It's hard to read this and not become a fan. Since I haven't closely followed gymnastics, I searched Google and YouTube for Shawn as soon as I had started the book to see what the media was saying. Most of her press is overwhelmingly positive--and I can see why!--but Shawn's behind-the-scenes commentary completes and responds to her image in the media confidently and gracefully. I especially appreciated Shawn's vulnerability in discussing her struggle with weight gain after the Olympics. Regardless of where God takes her in the future, Shawn is an amazing young woman with an excellent story. I received a complimentary copy of this book through the Tyndale Blog Network.

I imagine if you're looking at this you probably already know about the book, if you haven't read it already, you should. Despite it's age, it still is very relevant. It's in the same vein as George Orwell's 1984 or Aldous Huxley's Brave New World or William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson's Logan's Run, or even the Matrix really. Dystopian future, protagonist "awakening", it's nothing new but it's a very well told story. A sci-fi classic and as I said, a still relevant view of modern society and the immersion of technology. The growing disconnect from reality in favor of electronics, a fear more realized today than ever before (which is continually true for each generation, so the book should reasonably stay relevant so long as books are still printed...)
