A must read for all who are interested in the future of our planet. Friedman not only states our problems but offers solutions. I highly recommend it!

Although you can't predict the future. I feel Mr. Friedman does an excellent job of logically laying out what may occur during the next century.

This timeless classic by Milton and Rose Friedman is an easy read. This is one you'll read again and again.

Milton Friedman is truly the greatest economist of our generation. This essay is short and not at all the kind heavy reading one expects from an economist but still manages to effectively communicate the perverse incentives which make government an ineffective provider of services. A must read for anyone concerned with the problem of broad tax costs serving narrow special interests.

Great book by Thomas Friedman. You can go online and hear his 1 hour presentations on the book for a quick summary. He is a Pulitzer Prize winner for a reason. A lot of us weren't put to sleep by 9/11. We watched the world changing, not only with technology but also with treaties and lower barriers of trade. I think Friedman is great at providing an explanation of how we got to this point. I think he offers little in the way of solutions. This book is a warning to all that the world of commerce has changed, and we'd better be prepared or we are going to lose out.

Freidman's Free to Choose may have been the most influential book of it's time (during the "Reagan Revolution" of the early 1980s) and continues to have a powerful impact today. Friedman explains in clear terms the power of freedom and markets to advance the wellbeing of human life in ways that central planners never could. Famous as the father of monetarism, Friedman lays out with great examples the fundamental cause of inflation, and shows the power of the markets in protecting workers and consumers. Many of the ideas in this book, such as the use of vouchers to improve schooling for children by promoting competition, are in the process of being implemented today. The arguments are still as valid as ever and this book should be required reading for all college students. If it were, it would go a long way in reducing the shortage of understanding of the way markets shape the world in which we live.
