Sandra Bricker has definitely put a new spin on a classic fairy tale. When Shannon starts her "happily ever after" with her husband and then ends up in a 10 year coma, you would think that would be it. Well, to everyone's surprise, she wakes up and has to face a world that has continued without her. She has to learn who she really is, learn what is going on in the world around her, and how does she exist in a world she no longer knows. Faith and love definitely are key in this book! Sandra Bricker does a great job at making you think you are right there and part of this story. I highly recommend this book, you will not be disappointed!!!

If you’re in a dry season or ever wonder if there is more to life than this, I strongly encourage you to pick up this book. Rankin is the perfect travel guide to help you navigate the topography of your heart as you search for “living water”. Through this book, you realize the “sweet waters of the far country” are not so distant after all – but it’s readily accessible through union with Christ. The term “union with Christ” can sometimes feel so abstract and elusive. How are we united to Christ…really? What does that look like day-to-day? Rankin does a brilliant job of helping us understand and live out this reality of being grafted in the vine (John 15). He shows us how we can experience heaven here and now by baptizing our imagination and seeing what is already true of us: we are hidden and safe in Christ. As an excellent teacher, pastor, and doctor of souls – Rankin doesn’t deny or undermine the problem. He acknowledges the sanctification gap; that disconnect where our experience and theology don’t always seem to align. He calls it out courageously and allows us to wrestle with that gap. As Henri Nouwen says: “You say what I suspected, you express what I vaguely felt, you bring to the fore what I fearfully kept in the back of my mind. Yes, yes – you say who we are, you recognize our condition…” Through this book, I realized that I am not alone in struggling with this gap. There is an entire history of people (past and present) who acknowledge this gap and have discovered that the antidote is union with Christ. Rankin brilliantly shows how union with Christ is the thread that holds it all together and it helps us rediscover who we really are. Because we are covered in Him and made in His image, we also share in the hope of glory. “Worldly thoughts began to lose their hold, while heavenly ones grow clearer and clearer” (Ignatius of Loyola). Just like we need reminders in our lives, there are certain phrases from the book that have now become part of my daily vernacular that anchor me in Christ. Not as empty platitudes, but as rich truths that have become interwoven into the fabric of my identity: • I am in Christ and Christ is in me • I am home; completely safe and hidden in Him • The image of God is being restored in me • God sees, God knows, God is with us • Suffering brings us back to God’s own heart If you are a fan of Tim Keller, John Ortberg, Dallas Willard, and J.I. Packer, you will enjoy this book, as it is comparable in its ability to communicate practical theology of what it means to be in Christ. This will be a book that you will want to read over and over again; that you will want to chew and digest over time. It is easy to read, but it does not forsake depth or richness. It brings together high theology and deep spirituality; the head and heart. As you read and engage with this book, my prayer for you is “that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith – that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Eph. 3:17-19).

I am Blessed to have received an advance copy of Raw Edges by Sandra Bricker. I love to quilt so its only natural that Sandra Brickers new Quilts of Love book would grab my attention. I couldnt wait to see how she would intertwine quilts with humor and love around such a serious topic as Ovarian Cancer. With her unique writing style she spins a story that pulls her reader in in the opening pages and keeps your attention until the final one. You will fall in love with Grayson, Annabelle and all the other characters intertwined in this believable story. We all have raw edges when we face loss and love and God loves us through it all, right where were at. Read Raw Edges by Sandra Bricker, You wont be disappointed.

In this book its about a girl who has met and married her prince charming and in a instant everything changes. But an instant turns into waking up to the world changing 10 years late when she wake up and realize she has so much to catch up on. And why dealing with a lot of pain and hurt Shannon decides that she will take as it comes and will see where life heads. Sandra has done it again and you will not be disappointed. Sandra has got to the heart of the matter and gets you sucked in right away and all you want to do is enjoy it was you can. I wasn't even through the book all the way when I knew I wanted to read this again. I love how the characters could be a friend or some one you meet in real life. The story is so life like that you wonder if it really has ever happened. I love how Sandie can make you laugh and cry and leave you still wanting more. If you have never read any of Sandie's book grab this one and I know you will want to read all your books. Each one of her books have character and is very enjoyable.

Blind Trust by Sandra Orchard Kate Adams finds herself in the middle of a two-bit counterfeiting ring when she is caught passing counterfeit bills from her elderly neighbor. Detective Tom Parker is sent yet again to investigate Kate. They fight a growing attraction as they try to prove her innocence and save her beloved neighbor from her greedy son. As if that was not enough she is being followed, a big corporation is endangering her research, she is falsely accused and being deceived. This is the first book I have read from author Sandra Orchard but it surly will not be the last. Blind Trust is book two in the Port Aster Secrets series. I have to wonder what I missed by not reading book one, Deadly Devotion. I was somewhat upset with the cliff hanger ending but will be sure to pick up book three. I found the characters to be well thought out and developed. The story line is fast paced, full of suspense and a hint of romance. I give Blind Trust five stars and have added Sandra Orchard to my list of great authors that I look forward to reading from. I want to give a high-five to the author Sandra Orchard and publisher Revell for bringing compelling Christian books that are entertaining and give hope to the reader with stories of faith. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review and I am so grateful for the authors and publishers generosity.
