  • Only teaches one pose per dragon

    Dec 12, 2014

    Variableclouds  from PA, Rating:2.0

This is ok, but it is not the best drawing guide. It doesn't break the dragon shapes down enough to make it easy to understand how their bodies might look in another pose, and there are big jumps between steps. So I would recommend for a quite advanced child- maybe 9 or 10.

  • DK Eyewitness Cowboy

    Dec 12, 2014

    Western Fan  from Tennessee, Rating:4.0

As an adult I am always interested in the history and culture of the American West. The American cowboy had traditionally served as the centerpiece on this subject; be it myth or legend. The DK Cowboy book is very informative, educational and entertaining (as all DK Eyewitness books). This covers everything from the types of saddle to the Hollywood stereotype. Of course their are many pictures and illustrations. One interesting fact is that the cowboy is not an American invention as European, Asian and Latin American cultures have their own traditions of cowboy that dates back centuries. My reason for purchasing this book is for a reference for sketching Western scenes and subjects. Looking through this book; one may learn that that the cowboy was not a reckless drunk who shot his adversaries in the street, but a hard working individual, a team player and an American icon worthy of this title.

This is truly a beautiful bible. The brown cover is very nice for a man. It has indexes to help navigate through the books. The study guides are amazing. I have several study bibles but this one is truly my favorite. I can't see how any serious bible student wouldn't appreciate this.

I found this book very informative and interesting. I had a hard time putting it down. I didn't expect to learn so much!
