My son loves Octonauts and is an advanced reader. This was a great book for him to read by himself. Wonderful illustrations.

The first of the series was great, but this one's even better! Multiple story lines, while frustrating sometimes, keeps you engaged throughout the entire book. Multiple climaxes, and an unpredictable story lead to a great book! Everything was perfect on Overstock's side too!

  • A Robertson Family Christmas is phenomenal

    Dec 18, 2014

A Robertson Family Christmas by Kay Robertson with Travis Thrasher Christian Fiction, Christmas Tyndale ISBN 9781414398204 Hunter Clarke only wanted to spend time with his brother and father but instead he got a once in a life time chance, to spend Christmas with the Robertson family from Duck Commander. He lives with his mom and fills lift out of his brother and fathers lives. He would much rather be home than with a bunch of zany rednecks from Louisiana. He arrives with a chip on his shoulder but leaves with faith, a new understanding and a new outlook on life. I found A Robertson Family Christmas to be phenomenal. I give it 5 stars. I have been a huge fan of Duck Dynasty for a long time. So I was familiar with the characters and felt like I knew them. I enjoyed Hunter?s story. It was heart warming and made a great Christmas story. To hear about the real Christmas traditions of the Robertson?s family was uplifting and at times laugh out loud funny. • DK Eyewitness Cowboy

    Dec 12, 2014

    Western Fan  from Tennessee, Rating:4.0

As an adult I am always interested in the history and culture of the American West. The American cowboy had traditionally served as the centerpiece on this subject; be it myth or legend. The DK Cowboy book is very informative, educational and entertaining (as all DK Eyewitness books). This covers everything from the types of saddle to the Hollywood stereotype. Of course their are many pictures and illustrations. One interesting fact is that the cowboy is not an American invention as European, Asian and Latin American cultures have their own traditions of cowboy that dates back centuries. My reason for purchasing this book is for a reference for sketching Western scenes and subjects. Looking through this book; one may learn that that the cowboy was not a reckless drunk who shot his adversaries in the street, but a hard working individual, a team player and an American icon worthy of this title.
