Boleyn Inheritance

I've never bought books through Overstock, but I definitely recommend it. Aside from their speedy service, this book was the cheapest on OS (even compared to other book sites). The story is great too, especially if you enjoyed "The Other Boleyn Sister" by the same author. Not all of the history is accurate, but the story is interesting, and the story is entertaining.

The author is very good at setting a mood of constant unease and fear in the court of Henry the 8th. Her exposition style is more like an outsider's commentary than the way a character would actually think and speak. I found that distracting at times. Too much of the author telling me what SHE thinks of the characters. But, that said, she is talented at keeping up the sense of unease and keeping up interest in what happens next, even when one knows who dies or not in advance, per history. I found it to be an enjoyable read and very revealing of the era.

Absolutely a great read. An incredible mix of history and fiction--I was entertained throughly, but felt I got some great insight into an interesting time in history. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it for anyone that likes their romance surrounded by a little intrigue and reality

Worth reading. Not quite as good as the book on Anne Boleyn but close.
