I've recently started baking my own bread and this book has been extremely helpful. It is so hard to find healthy bread at the store. Even when they say "whole wheat" you still find enriched flour in it or high fructose corn syrup, etc. so it's often not as healthy as you think. And then you pay $4 a loaf for it. I've tried bread makers, but because of the kneading mechanism you end up with a hole in the middle of your loaf... not so good for sandwiches. This book has a ton of great recipes, everything from bread to muffins, scones, cookies, cakes, pies... And they are easy to follow. Bread making can be a little intimidating, but this book takes you through it step by step. If you want to have healthy bread but without breaking your budget, I would highly recommend this book!
