Elvis Presley stars in this vehicle tailored to his singing talents in a return to musical comedy after several turns in dramatic roles. Chad Gates returns home to Honolulu after a stint in the service. He shows little interest in working for his overbearing parents' pineapple plantation, much to their dismay. Nostalgic Hawaii and Elvis at its' best.
Blue Hawaii is a classic, one I grew up with - have seen this movie at least 45-50 times and never grow tired of seeing it again. Anyone who wants this movie in their collection should buy it - it's an upper for sure, and have to watch it at least twice a year. Glad to have a good one in my collection.

Blue Hawaii
Just as I remembered it. I have a few favorite Elvis movies and this was one of them, so wanted for posterity sake. Of course thye were never much on the quality acting side, so kids today wouldn't get it, but there were still a few of them worth keeping.

I only saw it once and it was the wrong movie I ordered. Oh well. It's a fun movie and I wanted to see more of Hawaii and that is what the movie shows.
