  • If you love baseball, you must read this!

I had to read this book because when R.A. was with the Mets I'd heard bits and pieces about his life. This book is truly captivating. He is completely honest and shares many intimidate details of his life as a youngster. Once I opened the book, it was hard to put down. I don't read much at all, except when I'm very interested in a particular book. I happen to love baseball, which perhaps is part of the reason I can relate to so much of the terminology, etc. Even if you've never heard of R.A. Dickey, I highly recommend reading his book. I admired him as a pitcher, and was especially thrilled when he won the National League Cy Young Award. As much as I admire his pitching abilities, I respect him as a man. His story is inspiring, to say the least. Do yourself a favor and read this book! I promise, you won't be sorry. I would like to thank R.A. Dickey for sharing his life with the public and giving us hope.

This is real life history that flows like it is happening now. I started the book and could not stop reading. The book is worth every dollar of its cost. Justin Shore
