Although Billy "Crash" Craddock claims that he`s "always" been country, there`s no evidence of it on these late-`50s rock & roll recordings. Sounding very much like Elvis, Craddock tackles 21 rockers, novelties and teen ballads on this collection of his complete Columbia recordings. A few of these tracks charted in Australia, but Craddock`s success in the U.S. was limited. Some of these songs, including "Blabbermouth," "Sweetie Pie" and "Ah, Poor Little Baby," seem to have had hit potential, but it wasn`t to be. Fans of Elvis and `50s rock in general should check this one out. ~ Greg Adams
