The cookbook looks great, and my mother has always said how she loves the Better Homes and Gardens cookbooks. I bought this as a Christmas gift, but it has so many great recipes and basic information. I also love the compactness of it. It won't take up a lot of room, but stll has just as much information if not more as a normal cookbook.

My very first cookbook was a BH&G cookbook that I purchased twenty five years ago to learn how to cook. I still use many recipices today and wanted the new book for updates. The new recipices are just as great with current shopper guides and other cooking hints. If you're looking for an easy place to start for American cooking, then this is still the book for you. You won't go wrong for the price, too.

I must not have paid attention to the size of this book. It did state that it was a paperback but I never imagined it would be a true paperback sized cookbook! Ridiculous! Hard to read - Impossible to keep open! Hard to photocopy any specific recipe!! Too expensive to send back! Don't waste your money!
