I wanted to get this book because it's one of IGN's top rated Batman stories. However, from the first chapter, it's clear that this generation of artists have no problem sacrificing content for appearance: the illustrations are incredible, but the story itself was too unbelievable. To think that Bats would do something like this is inconceivable. (Of course, they try to retcon the events of "Identity Crisis" to make it plausible that Bats would do something of the sort.) And I suppose the die-hard fan will say, "well if not Bats then who else" but I'm still not convinced. It's an OK story that only could've worked if Ra's Al Ghul was the main villain, which he is. But... still not impressed.
Same as the first volume, the second was even better!!! It was great!!!
