The throaty wail and emotive picking that power this selection of classics from King`s vast repertoire ("Rock Me Baby," "The Thrill Is Gone," "Why I Sing the Blues") display as much intensity of feeling and singularity of purpose as you`ll find in even the earliest of the blues giant`s recordings.
