  I purchased this as a gift for my 10 year old grandson, as he and a couple of friends of his were going to create their own comic book series. I looked through it and was very disappointed to say the very least. I gave it to him because it couldn't be returned. He looked at it and handed it back to me and as nicely as possible let me know how much of a disappointment the book was! I have never, ever had anyone return a gift to me-EVER! I felt so bad. Here I was trying to buy him something that I had hoped would help him with his friends and his drawing. I thin k that I made him not want to draw with this horrid book. It is a sorry excuse for a drawing techniques book at any level! I have some older,and by that I mean over 30 years old, books for everything from stills to comics. I just really wanted him to have something new and up to date. I'll never buy another book like that unless I see it first!

  Should specify that the superheroes are not any recognizable characters. My 7 yr old was disappointed.

  This, (and other Wimpy Kid books) were requested by my grandchildren, for Christmas presents. They loved this one as well as the others. I did not actually read it, but judging from the reaction of the kids,' I would say that it must be a great book for kids. Anything that makes kids want to read is a plus in my book.

  Gave as a gift to my 10 year old son. He wants to be a car designer when he grows up. He was thrilled with the book. He can't wait to start designing.
