ALONE WITH HER NEW HUSBAND on a tiny Pacific atoll, a young woman, combing the beach, finds an odd aluminum container washed up out of the lagoon, and beside it on the sand something glitters: a gold tooth in a scorched human skull. The investigation that follows uncovers an extraordinarily complex and puzzling true-crime story. Only Vincent Bugliosi, who recounted his successful prosecution of mass murderer Charles Manson in the bestseller Helter Skelter, was able to draw together the hundreds of conflicting details of the mystery and reconstruct what really happened when four people found hell in a tropical paradise. And the Sea Will Tell reconstructs the events and subsequent trial of a riveting true murder mystery, and probes into the dark heart of a serpentine scenario of death.

  • Book -&- Movie !

And the Sea Will Tell! ~ is an incredible and famous true story. Book is a fact-based tale & account about an exotic murder and trial by real-life defense attorney (wrote this book) Vincent Bugliosi. If memory serves correct, he also represented one of the Manson followers. A fabulous two-part made for TV movie was adapted from the book in 1991. I do own this rare treasure on DVD - however some might call it is a questionable copy. Me, among numerous others are still waiting for an official studio release. If you have not been fortunate enough to have seen this memorable visual treat, I can only say you are truly missing out ! To correct a slight mistake by previous reviewer = Mr. Bugliosi does not play himself in the film. He is portrayed by the fine actor Richard Crenna {more famously known as Col. Troutman in the Rambo flicks} and is superb along with rest of the cast. Like mine, quality copies are out there & very much worth the effort in finding!! FILM: And the Sea Will Tell! ~ 1991 > starring: Richard Crenna + James Brolin + Deidre Hall + Rachel Ward (Thorn Birds) + Hart Bochner . . . You will positively enjoy !!!

  • And the Sea Will Tell

Of all the attorneys who write, Vincent Bugliosi is far and away the very best. And this story was very personal to him. He represented the female defendant in a thriller of a trial set in California for murders that were alleged to have taken place on a tiny uninhabited Pacific atoll called Palymra. It's a story that will stay with you for years...it's just that good. The Da Vinci of lawyers, Bugliosi emerges as a true master writer as well. If you're interested further after reading the book, there was a movie by the same title in which Mr. Bugliosi plays himself.
