  This is one of the best books I've ever read. It's a compelling story, set in the Northwest. There is a horrible, senseless loss and a journey from pain and hate to forgiveness and love. I have purchased dozens of these paperbacks and given to friends, family and even strangers. I also purchased the CD and listen to it during long trips in the car. I need a refresher course in forgiveness from time to time.

  After reading this book myself, I ordered several for Christmas gifts. It is an extremely interesting and imaginative story, as Stephen King's usually are. The books I ordered arrived on time and in good condition, and were appreciated.

  Gideon's Corpse is good, but it lacks the charm of Preston and Child's other characters. I am having a tough time really caring about Gideon. However, that being said, these are two dynamite writers and they cannot write a bad book. worth the time and effort to read.
