If you are in need of a battery for your old 1000 model PSP then this will do the trick. It does not seem to communicate as well with the PSP as the original in the way of how much charge there is, however it does hold a good full charge and lasts as long as the original. This product is recommended as there is no better replacement available for the price this is available at.

After destroying my old psp battery trying to make it into a pandora, I needed a new battery. I saw this and the reviews are good so i bought one. Had no problems whatsoever and charges just fine. I highly suggest this to anyone who need a new battery or wants a spare.

Pros: Fit my PSP 1000, battery cover wasn't perfect but it fit, battery held a decent charge (sometimes). Cons: Everything else...the battery would cause a battery charge level read error so it would say it was charging when it wasn't plugged in and would randomly cause my battery meter to disappear. Then when the battery would die it would not flash the battery dead screen and go to standby it would merely shutoff causing the lose of some game play (I save often so this wasn't that big of deal just an inconvenience). In summary the battery was like most aftermarket batteries for the PSP you get what you pay for so go with a real Sony battery they might be a little privey compared to this and other third party batteries but for the most part you avoid the headache of dealing with the problems of a battery that doesn't work well.

This battery replacement was perfect, arrived, charged it up and has worked flawlessly!

The Battery was in mint condition and the battery cover was seamless, works as advertised and very happy i purchased this. works for about 4-6 hours depending on the game. Im glad i bought it and would definitely recommend this to everyone with a classic psp.

Well, if you have the fat psp, this definitely fits it, I looked everywhere for this and i only found it here with an extra battery. It fits, the color matches, what else can I say..... its cheap.
