My best friend and I used to go out for coffee every Wednesday, but then we decided we'd be better off doing yoga together and THEN having a cup of tea. What a brilliant idea! And Rodney Yee's Yoga for Abs has been our DVD of choice for almost 3 months. We are no spring chickens and we are both overweight. That's okay, we just kept at it and because this is the only DVD we are using, we could see steady improvement in our ability to replicate Rodney's moves after several weeks of practice. My early "boat pose" consisted of raising my head up off the floor. Now, we are amazed at our ability to hold the "boat pose" like Rodney and to rock back and forth six times! Yes, it's difficult for us (I am about 100 lbs overweight and trying to lose), but you have start somewhere. This workout is not too strenuous on our joints and it's just the right length to let us feel we have done something good for ourselves without feeling totally wiped out. We love Rodney's soothing voice and encouraging words. And the Asian music, bells, and chimes in the background are wonderful.
