The stories in the book are somewhat cobbled together, which the author does explain at the beginning of the book. It is not bad, but even for someone who has read all the novels in order, it is a bit disjointed. Short, snappy reads, though, so not bad.
If you enjoy the Sookie Stackhouse novels, then you have to add this one to your collection! its a great read. Shipping was swift and the book quality is fantastic.
Harris throws in some extra stories in this book. I found them to be very entertaining and filled in the spaces that the other novels left. This book makes her other books seem more complete.
The stories were good, but this book was really short. It seems like after the TruBlood HBO series came out, the pressure for Harris to "hurry up and publish" has caused the quality and quantity of the content in her Sookie books to go down. The stories are good, but they are very short and there are only a few in the book. On the positive side, it is interesting if you have read the series as the stories fill in some gaps and all go back to different time periods from the series. So, it is a good read, I just wish it contained two or three times as much content.
I am a huge fan of the Sookie Stackhouse books and I was under the impression that this was going to be book 10, very misleading. I did enjoy it once i put the fact that it was not book 10 in the back of my head. It was a good price and I am glad that I read it but I was a bit disappointed at first.
