Great Book
This was a great book club selection with some of the most spirited conversation ever. A great story that really opened my eyes to how life for women can be in some places in the world. I appreciated the fact that it ended more hopefully than Kite Runner did. A great story that I would recommend for anyone.

Highly Recommended Book!
This is the second book by the author of the Kite Runner and I can easily say it is just as good, if not better. This is a good price for a hardcover as well.

Difficult to read but worth every effort
I took this book with me on vacation and people who could see this book in my hand could not help commenting how great it is. There were many points during my reading that made me want to cry and I don't think I have ever experienced that from a book. A movie maybe but not a book. The author paints such a vivid picture of pain and personal peace in a time of war that I'll never forget this book. It was difficult to read only because the story is so unforgettable and real. Grab a box of tissues and a comfortable chair for this one. Enjoy!!!

Scary the things these women go through
I really liked this book. I had a hard time putting it down actually, but it gave me horrible nightmares. These poor women go through so much. Have your tissues handy.
