A Passion Most Pure is simply a phenomenal story! I especially loved the way Julie Lessman makes you feel so close to her characters. The way she writes makes you feel as though you've stepped into the O'Connor's world. You feel close to them, as if they were old friends and I love having a connection to characters that way. I adored Faith's character! Her quiet strength in times of trial was a beautiful lesson. Even while her heart was breaking she remained strong and carried on, knowing that God was guiding her. This book is most definitely a must-read!!

This is Julie Lessman's debut novel. This story is about Faith and Colin. Faith was in love with Colin, but he was in love with her sister. Faith decides that she needs to get away from her Colin and Charity (her sister), so she heads for Ireland. While in Ireland, she falls for Mitch and they become engaged. They travel back to the States and it becomes clear that Faith is still in love with Colin. What happens? Read it and find out! I enjoyed this book immensely! Julie really knows how to write a novel!!

Pushing all involved to the breaking point. This was my first book by Julie Lessman and I was not disappointed. This book is long, 477 pages and I didn’t know if she could hold the tension through the entire novel. I was never bored during one page during the story. There were times I felt I was eavesdropping on the characters, my heart breaking at times and others so mad I could have throttled one or two myself. There is something to be said of an author who draws forth a reader’s emotions, Julie knows how to wield that all too fine tool and does it masterfully. This book certainly does seep passion from nearly every page, albeit appropriate, nothing sensual, but she knows how to spark the imagination and captivate the reader into the story. Never was I sorrier to see a book come to its end. I am so glad there is a sequel!

I'm so glad that I read this book! I read it in record time, due do the fact that I could not put it down! Julie Lessman has created wonderful characters and a magnificent storyline. She writes in such a way that keeps you turning pages into the wee hours of the morning. If you love passion, romance, and God's Word you can't go wrong with this book! Make sure you have the second book in the series, because you'll want to get started on it right away.
