A Man Named Dave
 from Logansport,IN,  Jan 13, 2008

This book was the 3rd in the series and was just as good as the others, Dave is a very emotional man and overcome so many things that some people probably never do! I would recommend this to anyone but you must read the other two first to understand it!

A man named Dave
from Bear, De.,  Sep 21, 2006

This is the third part of the series. I liked this part of the story because Dave figures things out at the end about himself. His whole life was a struggle. It is amazing how driven and sugsessful he has become as an adult. He is definetly an inspiration. I suggest reading the first two books before this one. "the child called it" and "The lost boy". Your heart will go out to Dave. No person should ever have to go through what he did.

A Man Named Dave
from Ashville, Pa,  Sep 19, 2006

I read the books in order and this was the third book in the trilogy, i couldn't put it down. The book spoke to me, i was never abused as a child, but i did go through a horrible seperation between my parents and actually as an adult still am. But when i got to the part in this book when Dave and his father were finally together in the hospital, i lost it. It was so sad and i could actually feel Dave's pain of all the years of not having is dad around but all at the same time he was also able to forgive his father and see the man that he was. this book was such an inspiration, and Dave is such an awesome writer. The other part of the book that i particuraly liked was how his "mother" even after all those years still didn't treat him with respect and yet he still tried with her. why as human beings do we do this to our selves? that maybe a question unanswerable. She was just a horrible being.

A Man Named Dave
from Southern California,  Sep 7, 2006

A definite must to complete the trilogy of innate survival when inflicted with physically, emotionally and spiritually upbringing. The author's ability to overcome his long-termed abuse and becoming a recognized national spokeperson against child abuse is inspirational!
