He picks up a lonely hitchhiker who he talks into pretending that he knew his dead son, in order to bring some warmth and humanity back into his house, but both George and his family have their faith and humanity restored in ways that none of them expected.

It is a movie that combines the pain of loss, the rebuilding of the Christmas spirit and strengthening your faith when you realize that your loved one is always with you in spirit. It is an emotional movie for those who have lost a loved one.

I loved this movie, I agree with the other write, you will be grabbing the tissues bi time at the end of this movie. You will truly love watching this Great Christmas movie. Horray for McDermot!

A Christmas Visitor DVD
The entertainment value of this movie was average, in my opinion, so I probably wouldn't recommend it highly. Although it wasn't one of my favorite movies, I will probably watch it again in the future, and it was a good value. So, I don't regret my purchase. Thanks!

A sweet little Christmas movie
With an ending that will have you grabbing for your tissues, the is one Christmas movie you should have in your collection. I caught bits & pieces on TV and had to own it to see the entire movie and it is so worth it! Enjoy!
