Don Piper's book, 90 Minutes in Heaven is the runaway bestseller about one man's experience with death and life.

Description:

On the way home from a conference, Don Piper's car was crushed by a semi that crossed into his lane. Medical personnel said he died instantly. While his body lay lifeless inside the ruins of his car, Piper experienced the glories of heaven, awed by its beauty and music.

Ninety minutes after the wreck, while a minister prayed for him, Piper miraculously returned to life on earth with only the memory of inexpressible heavenly bliss. His faith in God was severely tested as he faced an uncertain and grueling recovery. Now he shares his life-changing story with you.

90 Minutes in Heaven offers a glimpse into a very real dimension of God's reality. It encourages those recovering from serious injuries and those dealing with the loss of a loved one. The experience dramatically changed Piper's life, and it will change yours too.

    Wonderful Read

mandysmommy from Pennsylvania, Aug 23, 2008

This book is based on the true life experience of a remarkable man. The book somethimes reflects on his healing process, and his frustration over the situation. This can seem like repeating. However, I found at the end of the book that is was clear why he told the story the way he did, and why he reflected back as he did. A really blessed story and gave me a spirtual boost I so needed.

    Worth It

joemichael from Blanco, Texas, Jun 24, 2008

This book is not a hard read, but it is intense at times. Very easy to get through it in a couple of days leisure reading. The author is obviously not a gimmicky showman, but is a real, very modest preacher. The pain and depression he went through is unbelievable. He still suffers from his injuries. The high point of the book is at the beginning, when he is able to glimpse the gates of Heaven, and meet with those in his liffe who were spiritual influences, and had passed on before. The rest of the book shows how the Lord through this man has helped so many others and does so to this day. His final purpose in life is being accomplished even as you read this. It is uplifting and you can even shed a tear of joy and compassion along the way. My own father and a close elderly friend both had near death experiences. Their encounters were not as extensive as this, but both men told me that what they saw and felt could not be put into words that would do it justice. It is obvious that the author cannot fully explain the warmth and love and security of well being that he felt either. My father had told me before he died years later at the age of 84, "I'll tell you this, I am not afraid of dying..... dying feels good." The author here lets us know full well that he is not afraid of dying either. He looks forward to being in Heaven once again, and to walk through the pearlescent gates to those streets of gold. I want to go there to when my time comes. This book will help you feel the same.

    90 Minutes In Heaven

reado from Washington, Jun 22, 2008

Anyone who gives this book a 5 star is unbelieveable. I expected to read a book about the guy's experience in Heaven. Instead there were a few pages about that and the whole rest of the book was his BORING recovery here on earth. VERY MISLEADING TITLE. I would not recommend this to anyone. Title should indicate what the book is actually about. No stars is what I wanted to put here for my waste of time reading this.
