Supposedly you can lose an average of a pound a day on this program. I'm not sure why it's called the "Diet Detox" because the book clearly points out that detoxifying is much different than dieting.
This "program" works by you eating certain foods which detoxify your body. The goal of detoxifying is to cleanse and rest the body. But, since one of the natural consequences of detoxifying is that excess weight falls off, you'll not only have a cleaner running body, but a lighter one as well- as least so says the book.
Lots of testimonial abound, which, by the way, is the poorest form of proof that something is effective. The book also offers a 7 day tune-up and a 2 day weekend cleansing as well.
After looking at the book, I'm not sure I could bring myself to follow it, so I personally would only recommend it to those readers who are into this kind of thing. For the rest, I'd stick to the old fashioned way of losing weight by eating less and exercising more. Readers who need more motivation to make healthy lifestyle changes might also be interested in "The Sixty-Second Motivator."
