This book is a little jewel! I'm a beginner crocheter, but have already bought a number of crochet books. This one is my favorite so far! The book immediately starts out with flowers than moves on to lace, an alphabet set, shapes, pictures and geometric motifs. Next, there are a series of project ideas that are really cute. And finally, there are a few pages of crochet techniques. I've already made a flower scarf out of the framed flower motif (the center flower design from the book's cover). Very cute and easy to make with the pattern directions. I also like that there are accompanying charts that I'm just now starting to be able to read and understand. The charts in this book are the easiest to translate of any of the charts I've seen so far--the drawings are nicely-sized and very clearly printed. My favorite project (besides the flower scarf) is a very cute little siamese cat mini bag. It's totally not my style, but it's so ding-dang cute, I'd carry it anyway! Other projects include a granny square cardigan, pillows, afghans, baby booties, a belt, a daisy-decorated sweater, a bath mat, etc. Very, very cute stuff. I highly recommend this book!
