I ordered this as a sofa cover for my dog but not only does she love rolling around in it but rather than being overly silky, it has a density that is quite cozy. I am ordering this for my own bed in my bed size. Surprise Surprise !!!!
I bought this sheet set as a gift, but after the couple used them once, they returned the set to me because they didn't like the "too slippery" feeling when moving about while sleeping. I decided to try them out even though it was a king size set and would be over-sized on my queen size bed. I figured the extra material would allow me to tuck the ends in tightly and I could then make use of them. I personally liked the cool, satin-like feel, but they were indeed slippery, so the bottom sheet constantly needed readjustment over the ends of the mattress. However, that could simply be because they are too big. When I took them off to wash them again (third washing), I noticed a large area near the bottom center of the fitted sheet that was piled, faded and appeared to have no more sheen to the fabric making it have a flannel look. I wish that I could attach a photo, but I don't see an option for that. In addition, there are numerous areas where the fabric is spreading apart. I have never owned any sheets made of this kind of fabric, so I cannot say whether a more expensive set made of satin would hold up better, but I certainly would not recommend these despite how attractive the print is. I will still use the pillow cases and top sheet with a plain white fitted sheet, so that they won't be a complete waste of money.
I had 3 packages arrive at the same time so when I picked them all up from the porch the top box was close to my nose. I could smell a chemical odor coming from the box. When I opened the box the odor was stronger, then I took the sheets out of the plastic bag they were in and the odor was a little worse. The other 2 boxes were sheets also and smelled bad too. I should had returned them immediately but I put them in the washer to try to get rid of the odor. After the 1st wash they still had a smell so I sprayed them with some Febreze. After about 1 hour I put the Febreze sprayed sheets back into the washer. They still had a chemical odor so I washed them 1 more time for a total of 3 washes. On the plus side even after 3 washes within 6 hrs of arrival the seams are still intact.
I have been searching for Zebra satin sheets for almost a year now. Nobody seems to carry them, either online or in stores. I happned to come by this site on mistake. I must say I was a bit leery at first about buying them for such a cheap price, I've had my fair share of cheap sheets holding onto that disgusting plastic smell that they are packaged in. I am pleased to say these sheets after a few washed did no such thing and they held toghter nicely in the wash, they didn't fray or anything. The sheets I got had a nice soft silver tint to them which was a supirse I thought they were white, however I like the silver better than pure white. You can tell from the picutre however that they are silver tinted. The only reason I'd give this a 4/5 is because the top sheet isn't printed on the bottom it's a solid white which is a bit strange. I'd definately buy them again.
