must purchase
if you buy the 4 inch memory foam mattress, you must invest the extra money and buy this cover. not only does it fit like a glove and make the topper look like a custom mattress, you will not get any of the the heat problems people talk about. I would absolutely recommond spending the extra money to get this cover. also some people have stated that their 4 inch memory foam mattress was smaller than their standard bed. I found just the opposite to be true. mine was sized generously and this cover fit it perfectly.

Incredible Quality and Design
I admit I was worried about how I was going to squeeze my 4" foam pad into a baglike cover. I was delighted to see that it had a zipper all the way around three sides. It was ample enough that zipping it up was a breeze. Fabric is one of my specialties. This material is top notch, very fine weave, lovely to touch. The down will make that lovely thick foam all the nicer to sleep on. I rarely have the pleasure to obtain a product made withthe thought and care I'd use if I made it myself. Pride in workmanship shows in every detail. That makes this a great value. Bottom line: highly recommended.

Fantastic Accessory
I am so happy I splurged on this cover for my 1.75 inch memory foam topper. It's fits it like a glove and was so easy to use, 3 sides zip up which is a real treat if you've ever tried to shove a duvet into it's cover. It makes it hard to get out of bed in the morning it's so comfy. The material is soft as a cloud and the down is in just the right amount. You can't go wrong buying this cover!

Buy a FEATHERBED instead!
After reading reviews here, I bought this in addition to my new Serta 3-in mattress topper. They work wonderfully together.... I haven't had such great sleep in months. BUT. The combination simply won't stop sliding of the bed. I finally tried taking the down cover OFF of the mattress topper. It turns out the memory foam mattress topper is very "sticky" by itself and it doesn't slide anywhere. Perhaps, next, I'll just zip up the down cover and just rest it on top of the memory foam, like a featherbed. But, if I were to go through the process again, I would just go ahead and buy a real featherbed. All said, I'm far from disappointed with my purchase. Like I said I'm sleeping better than I have in months. The down does greatly improve on the memory foam, too... but there's no reason not to pay less money and get a real featherbed :)

Ideal solution for memory foam topper
This well made thick cover is the only way to wick the heat that is generated from a memory foam mattress or topper. I've washed it several times, throw it in dryer on low and it still looks and feels great.

It's a Cover ---- But That's It....
I bought this matress cover for my 4" foam matress "topper" about three years ago. It protects the "topper", but also causes the 4" foam topper to shift / slide OFF the matress below EVERY MORNING. I'm 66 years old and have a California King-size bed. It's really irritating to have to reposition this mattress topper and cover EVERY MORNING. I even spent another $30 for a rubber pad that goes between this topper and cover and the mattress below. THEY DON'T WORK ---- THEY JUST BALL UP, AND THE MATTRESS STILL TRIES TO SLIDE OFF THE BED EVERY MORNING.

This cover was the icing on the cake
We purchased a 4" memory foam topper and decided to add the cover. It is great! It makes it easier to move the memory foam on mattress and does add a plus in comfort/ We have sold many a friend on adding a topper and goose down cover for their current mattresses.

Cover Too Slippery!
This is a really wonderful cover but it is too slippery and does not stay on the bed! When I was using my lates mattress topper without a cover, I had no problem with the topper moving around on my mattres. Wanting to preserve the topper, I bought this nice cover and I have been a-slipping and a-sliding ever since!! Every morning, I have to pull the topper and cover back into place from where it has migrated both down the bed toward the bottim and off to the side, where I have almost FALLEN OFF! They need to add a non-slip surface to the topper and then it will be PERFECT, as it is a really well-made cuddly piece.

You will need this
I love, love, love down. Pillows, chairs, couches. I've had them all. This cover is a great idea. Memory foam is hot and it is also delicate. I can pull apart if you don't handle it correctly.kk This solves the heat problem and helps keep the foam in tact as you make the bed or clean your under bedding. The fabric over the down is great. Feathers do not come through the fabric so it is a high enough thread count. Great quality.
