Worst sheets ever! If I wanted SATIN sheets I would've ordered them! They are described as COTTON SATEEN. I hate them. So slippery they won't stay on the mattress. Not comfortable. Junk! Walmart has better Sateen sheets than these. What a waste of money. Can't send them back. They were a gift. Totally embarrassed! Long time customer won't shop here anymore.
The sheets launder well and are very comfortable, especially for 400 thread count. The jury is still out on the flap inside that covers the pillow on the open end of the case. It limits the ability to evenly distribute wear on each side of the case, but I do like having the pillow completely covered. Overstock was one of the first places I made a purchase many, many years ago and they still rock!
The quality is what I expected and a great deal for what I paid but the color is off. I ordered Charcoal Black, but they are more of a navy blue. Doesn't match our color scheme at all but they have already been washed so I can't return them. :=(
I ordered the "white" sheets in queen and what I got were "cream" color sheets. I was extremely disappointed b/c I was expecting a nice crisp "white" set. Since I already had to return a set of a different brand of sheets to Overstock b/c they fell apart after 1 washing - I just decided to keep them to avoid the hassle of re-wrapping, boxing and another trip to the post office. The pillow cases have a little pocket at the end of one the inside sides to keep the pillow covered by the same material which I thought was nice. The sheets are very soft - But THEY ARE NOT WHITE !!
Where to begin? These have a *****l ******* in ********. Imagine my surprise that they are made in India. They arrive wrinkled, and are almost impossible to iron. After a few washings the color has faded and one pillow case needs to be sewn up. I always buy Italian linen sheets, but I changed my color scheme and wanted brown shadow stripe sheets, and these were the only ones I could find. Even though these are cheap, save your money.
I am a sucker for satin stripe sheets, these are heavy, but still soft. I love that the pillow cases have a fold over flap to keep the pillow from sliding out. These will need a little ironing if you are a stickler for perfectly pressed sheets as there is some creasing at the edges of the top sheet. I liked them so much that I bought another set.
I had never ordered sheets online before without being able to see them and feel the fabric first. I am very happy with these sheets. I washed them prior to first use and while they weren't completely wrinkle free, I carefully folded them, and by the time I put them on my bed they almost looked like they had been pressed. Since buying these sheets last year, I have been so pleased wth them that I have ordered another set. I would have given a 5 star rating if these sheets come in more colors. It limits me from having coordinating colored sheets. But otherwise, I have been very pleased with them.
I'm trying to get something for nothing, maybe. I was looking for crisp, densely woven sheets that would feel very smooth to the touch. I like all cotton, and these looked good but the finish was not great for sateen and they were very lightweight for 400 count sheets. They were probably a huge bargain for the price I paid. Next time I will pay more and get higher quality.
