The weight of this material says quality from the beginning. I researched a lot before buying these. I found the quality to be well respected and well deserved. The first wash was straight out of the bag to set the color using cold water and vinegar. After that I always wash in cold water with very little detergent. The color has held and so has the quality. No pilling yet! I have used these every night for almost a year and washed them weekly. Drying is done on low setting. Washing is handled on the delicate cycle. Over drying on a high setting is asking for trouble. I expect years of use. I have other sheets but haven't switched because these keep me cooler in the summer and warm in the winter. I keep saying I'll switch them out but so far. Other sheets had me sweating. These breathe and that keeps me comfortable for a good nights rest even with out blankets in summer. The hemstitch keeps its shape and the fit is perfect for my California King.
Warm, cozy sheets! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them! They only negative thing I would say is that I wish the flat sheet was just a little wider. After washing and drying it, there isn't much sheet to tuck into both sides of our King mattress. However I'll probably buy another set soon because they are so soft!
I stumbled on to these sheets 8 years ago and have been buying them ever since. I have bought 4 sets of these sheets over 8 years and have always been completely pleased. I try to keep 2-3 sets in rotation over the winter months (changing weekly) and have found they last us about 6 years before the fitted sheet rips. Considering we last lived in Maine for 4 years and we used the flannel sheets for up to 7 months each each year, I am pretty pleased. The sheets are thick and soft, and I have never had any trouble with pilling. The only con is that the flat sheet is not very wide so if you have a deep pocket mattress, the sheet may not be wide enough to tuck in on both sides. The fitted sheet fits over my mattress without trouble, but it does get pulled tight- which I am sure is the reason they eventually rip. That being said, they are so comfortable and priced well, I am willing to deal and I try not to allow them to over-dry in the dryer. I just bought the charcoal grey which almost looks like a small-checked tweed. I am so impressed that I am considering buying a second set in the same color. I can't compare these to any other sheets as these were the first flannel sheets I have bought, but haven't felt a need to look elsewhere.
I loved these sheets and would certainly buy them again. I had them for over 3 years and used them as my primary sheets year round because I loved them so much. I did eventually retire them, as I used them to death. But they are so thick and lovely feeling. I completely recommend them to anyone. They will last you for years!
