The papery allergen barrier stuff on the bottom of this pad completely disintegrated in my dryer, and now it's peeling away from the cotton and in tatters, obviously not preventing any allergens to reach me. Sorry to have to be negative, but I think this is something people should know.

My husband is extremely allergic to dust and I am allegic to many common man-made fabrics. Our family doctor suggested trying an allegan barrier mattress pad, I shopped around and they are expensive! We are very pleased with price and quailty of our purchase and have suggested it to friends who share in our past sleepless evenings full of sniffles and ichy skin.

The first night i had to remove it after feeling uncomfortably heated and burnt. Secondly it came without any company's brochure, nowhere did it claim to be allergy barrier,. I just got it in a plastic bag- nothing else. Now OS is asking $ 15 to return- Man what do I do? Throw good money after bad??Not sensible.Stuck!

I was very impressed with the quality of this pad. It is soft and easy to sleep on. Comfort level is excellent.

This mattress pad is THINK and shows every stich of the quilting on the top of your mattress. It adds MINIMAL comfort. As for hypoallergenic, who knows? It can't be washed in hot water or dried on high setting, and THAT is what keeps dust mites down. At first use, it was nice looking (I don' t like the pads with horizontal channels onlyh. But it's half as thick as the thinnest pad I have ever purchased, and before washing it, the elastic sides barely stretched far enough to cover our 10 year old pillowtop mattress. This is my first disappointment buying a mattress pad from Overstock. The cost of returning is half the cost of the item, so this pad will remain our emergency pad or will be used on the inflatable mattress when kids sleep over. We used to shop monthly but return costs and recent disappointment have reduced our usage of this site.

The allergen barrier mattress pad has been a good product for the price. It was well worth the price. I thought the padding might make the bed too hot, but it is comfortable. The sides however do not stay tucked in around the mattress they ride up. I made sure to check the thickness width because my mattress is wide, even though I checked, the fit is still not right. An the material on the sides is not very sturdy. That means I have to take the sheets off the bed an readjust the pad everyday, for this reason alone I would not buy this product again.

I bought this for my daughter's FUTON mattress. A futon mattress is much more flat than a regular Queen mattress. This is a great product because of the quality but we could barely fit it on the FUTON mattress. If it can't fit on a flat futon mattress, it probably won't fit on a normal Queen size traditional mattress. I am keeping it because I made it stretch and am going to buy a few adjustors just to keep it on the mattress. Again, the quality is good, but it just doesn't fit.

The fit was not good for our king mattress. The pad itself was on the small side, and the only way the pad was able to cover the mattress was by stretching the corners to the max. The quality of the fabric was excellent.

My mattress is about 16" thick and this pad does not fully cover the sides. This pad does NOT fit a mattress up to 18". If it was easy to return items to Overstock, I would have returned it. It is quality material and is fairly good value for the money.

We just ordered this mattress pad and it met all of our expectations. Unlike others we have tried, it held up through the washer and dryer, and fit our 15" deep mattress perfectly. We both are allergic to dust mites, yet did not want to give up our wonderful cloth mattress, so we were pleasantly surprised to wake the next morning fully rested and without allergy-caused decongestion. I would recommend this mattress cover to everyone!

I'm giving this mattress pad as a gift and it came in a plastic bag--no real packaging. No labeling saying it was allergen, etc. Very tacky.

I wish I could rate this product better, but seeing I never got to use it, because I washed it before putting it on our bed, and the dryer on the low heat setting burnt it up to a schrivelled cluster, it's now in the garage and the cats seem to be enjoying it as a new bed.

Dear Overstock: I purchased the Barrier Allergen Mattress Pad and I have severe allergies. The matress pad has helped me to stop having so many sneezes and stopped up noses in the mornings. The quality is great! Thank you Overstock!

The mattress pad is fine, if you don't have a deep bed. I bought this mattress pad because the description said it fits 16" mattresses. Our mattress is 14" and it is very tight. So tight, that it wants to come off and takes the fitted sheet along with it nightly. We are getting a new mattress pad because of this. This is a good mattress pad for thinner beds, but that is not what the description said.

I was scared to buy this after some of the reviews, but I thought since our queen bed only has a small pillow top it would fit. WOW.......WAS I WRONG. It fits, but it comes off about 4 times a week. I bought one for our guest queen bed also, which I'm sure it will work fine, although I have not tried it yet. I would not buy this again for anything other than a normal mattress.

This is a high quality item. Great value for the price. Fits well & looks nice. Would highly recommend.

This pad is soft and comfortable with beautiful fabric

I have a king size mattress and found that I had to really stretch for this cover to fit properly. The pockets could be deeper and would make for a better fit. I would rank this as just ok.

This is a mattress cover for small mattresses only. My daughter has a thicker bed and it fits but it is really a struggle.

I have only been able to use this product a few weeks and have found the difference in only a few days. I have dogs and cats that like to slepp with us, and of course our own skin shedding. This has been a problem for us as whatever did not belong on the bed would find a way to remain there and I had to wash the old plain mattress pads more than once before I was convinced they were clean. I have washed this item before us, and washed it again a day ago. The wuality of laundering is holding up nicely, as if brand new. there are times I do not have time to completely make up a whole bed, and simply vacuum the surfaces. The allergen barrier has lowered our animals sensitive skin problems a great deal, as well as our own. I could go on about this product, but I said enough. Hopefully to convince you to try it. It truly is worth it when i comes to ones health and the feeling of comfort at night or something itching you.
