This is a very pretty bedspread. Other reviews hinted at the amount of shedding and fuzz that this bedspread would produce, but they grossly misreported the actual amount. I really liked the look of it when I first got it, but the amount of fuzz is absolutely insane. Within a few days, it got all over my nightclothes, my sheets, my bedroom floor and, even, on my cats. An example of how much fuzz it produces: I have a small tabletop fan in my bedroom that collects dust around the blades and cover of the fan over a period of time. Within 1 week of using the bedspread, the fan was clogged with red fuzz that had been floating around the room. There was a little ring of red fuzz around the center of the fan covering that I had to vacuum out. Laundering this bedspread requires a lot of attention to the lint trap. In order to prevent problems, you will have to clean the lint trap every 30 minutes or so until it dries. And for the next several loads, you will need to watch the lint trap as the red lint from the bedspread takes several loads to completely be removed. It's a pretty bedspread, but not worth buying because of the ridiculous amount of fuzz and lint.

I love this bedspread! It drapes beautifully on the bed, adds great texture as well. I wanted a new look for my bedroom because I'm tired of the comforter look. It's warm, washes up great, and provides full coverage. I'd recommend this brand and style to anyone! I feel I got high quality for a very reasonable price.

Exactly what I wanted for folding at the bottom of my log bed! It ads texture when folded on the walnut cove quilt set that I also purchased from overstock. It is casual and has an heirloom quality to it. The standard sham (sold separately) is so neet how it ties on the side to close. It all looks so great in my early american styled bedroom with the dark tan walls, log bed, antique dressers, plain natural swag curtains, hooked rugs, wreaths, primitive stitcheries, on the wall etc... Also the queen size fits like a king size which is exactly what I was hoping for! It's also very warm and adds some weight! Have not washed it yet but seems like it will hold up well. i would order the bedspread in queen natural..and also get the shams too in natural,,,if you had them in stock,,but you dont at this time,,,,hopefully you will have them soon,,,,, and when i get them i will write a review...... Randi1936

Beautiful to look at, lovely to hold, but red fuzz EVERYWHERE. Bought to use as a "topper"; something that could be laundered easily and frequently (dogs ...). I've washed it FOUR TIMES in somewhat over a month and it's still leaving residue. LOTS of residue. The dryer vent has to be cleaned at least twice during the drying cycle and the fuzz is all over my carpet. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.

FINALLY!!! I finally received this spread afer 3 attempts of O sending it out, first one went to Montana, second one UPS says that it was dropped at my front door not true, third one finally did arrive yesterday. Opened it, no odor noticed, washed it in more cold water than warm, it bleeds alot so wash alone. Dryed alone and be sure to check your dryer vent often, i did every 15 minutes glad i did cuz the amount of lint was crazy. I should of taken it outside to shake all the fuzz off of it, all the extra fuzz and lint will attach to your sheets and pillow cases. It's not too thick and not too thin, but when the weather starts getting colder just put extra blanket underneath. The overall look and feel is great, it's long enough that you don't need a bedskirt which is great. The color i ordered was true to pic, redwood. When I received this spread, I noticed a strong odor and decided to pop it into the washer on delicate cycle with a quick wash. Put it into the dryer and it came out odor free and looking like new! Beautiful color and gives the room a welcome feeling. It's also just the right weight...not too heavy or light. I also love the red color. It isn't a bright red, but more of an antique color. Hard to explain, but what I see on the computer is true to what I received. Love it! Thanks O!

I ordered 2 chenille bedspreads but received these instead. I decided to keep them. I washed them before using to remove the "new" smell and the amount of lint was horrible!! I took them outside and put on the clothes line to shake them and red lint went everywhere!! I still have red lint in my backyard. When I put them on the bed the lint got all over the sheets. These things shed worse than my cat.

I purchased this in the red and I absolutely love it. My bedroom set is antique and this bedspread works perfectly with the decor. My daughter was passing my room and stopped in her tracks and told me how much she loved it. I love the size, the workmanship and the color. It's difficult to find nice bedspreads and I'm really thrilled that I found this one.

This bedspread is lightweight and fits the bed very well. It has that old-fashioned look that I was looking for. It also washed very nicely. It seems to hold the heat in more than I thought a lightweight spread would, but it's still lighter than a quilt or comforter, so I am very happy with it.

I almost didn't buy this because the reviews say it sheds. But, I'm glad I did anyway. When I got the bedspread it did have a smell to it, I think from the dye they used. So, I tossed it in my front load washing machine and had to go through two washings to get it out. Then to avoid the lint issue, I took it out and put it on a clothesline outside for it to air dry. I have had no problems with it. It looks great and I wish overstock could get some more in because I had to order a queen size for my king size bed. Thanks Overstock!

Very nice product - launders well and fits nicely. I am mostly pleased to find a LIGHTWEIGHT bedspread as they are often difficult to locate. Though it's a queen, its generous proportions do well on my kingsize bed.

I was very pleased with my purchase. Great color. Fits bed perfectly. No shedding. I would highly recommend this bedspread to anyone. I am always pleased with my Overstock purchases.

This bedspread is very beautiful. The color is a dark sage green and it fits the bed perfectly. I was very impressed with the color and the weight of the fabric. I would order again!!!

I read some of the reviews of this bedspread and can't believe we're talking about the same bedspread. I love this bedspread. I have washed this bedspread multiple times and each and every time it comes out bright white, like new. I would (and have) recommended this bedspread to my friends and family. We recently downsized from king to queen, and I immediately bought this same bedspread in queen.

I'm enjoying the pillows and spread, they're on my bed now. The only problem I have is that it shead on your clothes and you need a lint brush to get it off. That's inconvient when you're in a hurry. I'm handicapped and I sit on my bed to get most of my clothes on. That's my only concern.

I know that chenille these days doesn't have the quality it did long ago, but this bedspread was as bad as to be expected for the cheap price. First of all, chenille manufacturers haven't figured out that we need bigger spreads for the new, deeper mattresses. I knew this spread wasn't going to fit as well as I would like, but because I love chenille I decided I'd live with that. I put it on the bed, thought, "It will do," and then washed it. Oh, my. The amount of lint was horrendous. My old chenille never shed anything like this one did. And it kept shedding even after I put it on the bed. No matter how often I cleaned up the lint mess, the next day there would be lint all over the bedding and floor. And it shrank; since I washed it in cold water, it was probably the heat from the dryer. I kept it on the bed for four nights, then put it in storage to use as a moving blanket to protect furniture. If you have a thin mattress set and don't mind lint, it's a good buy; otherwise, stay away.
